Junior 2 Footballers defeat St Peregrines to be promoted to Junior 1 Football - Sun, 5 Feb 2006

St Brigids showed some fine finishing to win out this match as it was hard fought affair throughout. A physically hard hitting game from the offset but the superior speed & fitness of the lads won through. 

Peregrines lead at the break but could not hold out to a St Brigids side that is improving vastly under Noel the "Beard" Cassidy. Willa Corbett, Alan Beirne & Paul Whitty edged Brigids in front in the second`half while second half sub Seamus Smith inspired the Brigids defence holding St Peregrines to 0-1 in the second half. Dave O Connor finished off the game with a superbly taken goal. A Big thank you to Noel Cassidy, Sean Cunningham & Paddy Duffy for their effort throughout the year. A Super Sunday will definitely be had.
