Junior C Footballers Lose Out to St Thomas's in Duffy Cup Final - Wed, 9 May 2007

Hard Luck to the Junior C Footballers who were lost out to Castleknock St Thomas's in the Duffy Cup Final. Played in less than ideal conditions in Russell Park, the lads had the aid of the strong breeze at their backs in the first half but were unable to make this count as they conceded two goals to trail 2-2 to 0-4 at the break.

The lads reduced the deficit to three shortly after the break but were unable to contain St Thomas's clinical half forward line who found the net twice in a five minute spell. Hard luck to the lads & well done on reaching the final. This team has improved greatly over the last year and will improve even more with more games in the league. Its great to have six self suffucient adult football teams in the club. A big thank you to Donal Smyth for his great work with the lads.
