Junior B Footballers Continue Steady Progress defeating Good Counsel - Fri, 18 Apr 2008

St Brigids 5-11 Good Counsel 2-4

The Junior B Footballers produced a fine performance to make it 2/3 in the league this year. Good Counsel opened the scoring in the 2nd minute but wouldn't register another score for twenty minutes as neat interplay from the lads rattled up 3-4 on the score-board as they played against a strong breeze. Gareth Nugent produced a fine display in midfield when Andy Kavanagh contributed 2-2 in the opening half.

A raft of subs were made at the break but this didn't stem the tide as Sean Sweeney opened the scoring and Australian Luke Walsh scoring a goal. Fergal Delaney and Warren Lynam were very solid in defence while Liam Boyle was always a constant threat from wing-forward. Well done to the lads and keep up the hard work.
