Inter 2 Footballers Breeze Past St Marys in Phoenix Pk League Clash - Wed, 23 Apr 2008

Willa Corbett's impressive form continued last Saturday when the Inter 2 Footballers beat St Mary's in the Phoenix Pk. Corbett bagged 2-4 and was a thorn in the St Mary's defence. Corbett and Fred Lynam were supplied with ample ball from midfield with Des Carolan & Kevin Bonfil controlling midfield. Leading 0-8 to 0-1 at half time, a St Marys fight back was expected but it never materialised with Stephen Moore and Seamus Smith holding firm in defence. The game was over as a contest when Corbett fired home two goals in a five minute spell. A beautiful move for the first goal with Joe Twomey supplying Fred Lynam who angled a ball into Corbett's run who drove the ball high to the keepers right. Well done to the lads and keep up the good work. Thats 3 out of 4 in the league.
