The Senior 2 Footballers suffered another heart breaking loss after playing some well to be denied at the death by a Shane Cooke penalty. The lads led 0-7 to 0-5 at the break with Warren Finnegan in fine form slotting over four points. Dave Nooan also scoring from distance as well as Craig Kilmurray after some neat interplay between Dermot Reidy and Cormac Kelly. Always keeping a 2/3 point advantage in the 2nd half, the lads looked destined to pick up the points. Leading 0-12 to 0-10 going into injury time, a high ball was lofted into the Brigids square where Cooke won the ball and was adjudged to be dragged down. He clinically finished the penalty to the net. Hard Luck to the lads, you are playing good football at the moment and you will get your just rewards.
