Senior Footballers Battle Hard for League Victory over Na Fianna - Mon, 12 May 2008

Leading at the break 2-5 to 0-5, the game looked over but Na Fianna battled back to level up matters 2-5 to 0-11 with fifteen minutes remaining. Their revival mainly due to a disgraceful act of cowardly play by one of their corner backs. Dabhach Dineen was taken out off the ball from behind. Dabhach was unable to continue and required medical attention. The team showed true grit to rattle off the next five points. Paddy Andrews was a potent as ever at the edge of the square contributing two of the final five points as well Peader chipping in as well. Mark Cahill also added two to seal the win in a hard fought encounter.
