Senior 2 Footballers Denied Victory By St Maurs Injury Time Equaliser - Sun, 25 Apr 2010

Our Senior 2 Footballers were denied victory by a late St Maurs equaliser 2 minutes into injury. Leading 0-6 to 0-3 at the break, the lads had played some very fast moving football in the first half with Dabhach Dineen & Ordhan McCann to the fore. Chris Dorney & Felim Condrum marshalled the defence well against last years Promotion finalists.

Maurs started the 2nd half very well and were soon level 0-6 to 0-6 with some quick fire points from their free taker Chris Carty but our lads dug deep to lead 0-8 to 0-6 with points from Brian Donovan and Seamus Bonner. Once again St Maurs levelled to up 0-8 to 0-8. We edged ahead again with a free from Andy Farrell before Maurs went into the lead 0-10 to 0-9 entering the final few minutes.

The lads responded to reel in Maurs with 2 quick points. The lads looked like they had the 2 points in the bag until Maurs struck in injury time. Keep up the good work lads and we look forward to your Champo meeting with Clann Na Gael.
