Junior B Footballers Come Back From the Brink to beat Parnells in Champo Semi - Mon, 30 Aug 2010

St Brigids 0-10 Parnells 0-9

Things didn't look good for our Junior B Footballers as a penalty miss and several gilt edged wides looked like they would be rued upon the final whistle. Trailing 0-8 to 0-5 with less than 10 minutes to go, the game was going away from the lads but they showed true character to score the next five points to lead 0-10 to 0-8 entering injury time. Eoin Mulvihil, Conor Hayes(3) & Keith Morris on target.

The final 10 minutes were crucial as Philip McEntee & Keith Fox began to take over in midfield to supply Morris & Kevlihan in the full forward. Parnells soon reduced the deficit to one point and the game looked destined for extra time when a Parnells forward won a breaking ball on the Brigids 20 yard line but Ciaran Byrne & Brendan Dunning were on hand to block his side and send the lads into their fourth Championship Final in 7 years.
