Mixed Fortunes for Junior A & B Hurlers in Champo Action at Weekend - Mon, 14 Jul 2008

The Junior A Hurlers impressively dispatched Liffey Gaels in their Championship meeting in Liffey Park on a scoreline of 4-10 to 0-7. The game was over at half-time with the lads leading 3-3 to 0-2. Paul Keane and two Pat Rohan goals putting the lads in the driving seat. The game will be featured in the Evening Herald this Tuesday so well worth a read.

The Junior B Hurlers lost 1-14 to 1-9 against Crumlin. In a tight game, Crumlin found the edge in the final ten minutes. Trailing 1-5 to 0-7 at the break, the lads were level with less than 15 minutes to go but the hot weather took its toll with Crumlin finishing well. It was their first loss of the group stages.

Both teams are still bang in contention to qualify from their group with the final round of games on Tuesday July 22nd.
