Inter Hurlers Draw with Thomas Davis in Tight Champo Opening Tussle - Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Stepping up to the Intermediate Championship was always going to be a tough ask but the Inters produced a brilliant display & were quite disappointed not to have won the game. Leading 0-8 to 1-3 at the break, a shock looks on the cards as the Inter confidence grew. Sean Duignan, JD Mulcahy & Paul Keane were proving troublesome for Thomas Davis. Going into injury time, the lads were still 2 points ahead but Thomas Davis got 2 late frees to level-up the game. The lads were disappointed when the final whistle went but they now have the belief to go on and do even better on Saturday when they face Setanta at 6pm in Poppintree.
