A commanding 2nd half display from our Senior Hurlers over Naomh Olaf left the lads positioned well mid-way through the season. They now sit table of the table. Naomh Olaf will be their opponents on July 19th when the 2 sides face off in the Championship. Both sides have already won 3 from 3 with 2 group games remaining. Despite starting poorly last night, the lads showed true grit to go in level at the break. Trailing 0-4 to 0-1 with 15 mins on the clock, the lads began to motor as Mick Cousin, Aodhan McEnenery & Sean Sullivan found their feet. Willie Tyrell was keeping tabs on the Olaf's dangerman Dec Dwyer. With the forwards recieving a good supply of ball, the Olafs lead began to deminish with scores from Keith Fox, Jame Winters and Tom Cleere. Playing up the hill and into the breeze, the lads continued to pluy away. Pointed frees were keeping Olafs in the game. Sean Sullivan, Cathal Doyle and Joe Kavanagh were having mighty games at the back. McEnenery pointed 2 more frees in the lead up to the break to leave the sides level. (0-6 to 0-6)

Olafs didn't stand a chance in the 2nd half as the belief started to flow through the lads viens. Jamie Winters finished the sliotar superbly to the bottom corner and points from Fox, Plunkett and McEnenery began to stretch their lead. Fox was having a mighty game in corner forward. Olafs grabbed a goal back but further points from Fox, McEnenery(4), Tom Cleere (2), Mick Cousin and Daire Plunkett put the game to bed. The lads now look forward to the Championship rematch knowing it will be a totally different game.
