Dublin Hurlers Name Very Strong Side vs Tipperary on Sat in Russell Pk - Wed, 10 Feb 2010

Dublin have named a very strong side for their challenge match versus Tipperary this Saturday. The game is part of a double header with the Dublin Camogie team also taking on Kilkenny.

DUBLIN (SH v Tipperary): Finn McGarry; Tomás Brady, Colm Hennebry, Oisín Gough; Dave Byrne, Michael Carton, Derek OReilly; Michael May, Joseph Boland; Peter Kelly, Liam Rushe, Shane Durkin; David OCallaghan, David Treacy, Paul Ryan.

To celebrate the official opening of St Brigids new hurling, camogie and handball court and dressing rooms, Dublin's senior hurlers face All-Ireland finalists Tipperary under lights in Russell Park on Saturday February 13th at 7.30pm. Both Anthony Daly and Liam Sheedy plan on using near full strength teams as they finalise their preparations for their National League campaigns which begin the following week.

The game is preceded by the clash of Dublin and Kilkenny in a senior camogie match while County Board Chairman Gerry Harrington will officially open the facilities at the interval between the games.

RTE's Damien O'Reilly will once again be the voice of the evening while there will be music and entertainment in St Brigids clubhouse after the games. Entry is free for children and OAP's.

The schedule for Saturday is as follows:

  • 5.15 - Dublin v Kilkenny (Camogie)
  • 6.30 - Official opening of new facilities by Gerry Harrington Chairman of the county board.
  • 7.30 - Dublin V Tipperary (Senior Hurling)
