Our Senior Hurlers made it 2 from 2 in the Champo with a hard fought win over Crumlin. Pearse Park is never an easy place to win so the lads were very happy with their victory. The hard work was done in the 1st half when the lads built up an early 0-6 to 0-1 with points from Paddy Avinue(2), Cian O'Mahony, Brendan McEnerney and Cian O'Mahony.

Sean O'Sullivan made his return to the side with an immense display in full back. Leading 0-10 to 0-5 at the break, a good start to the 2nd half was essential but Crumlin started to creep back into the game at 0-14 to 0-11 but Daire Plunkett(2) and Brendan McEnerney sealed the victory.

High flying St Brigids made it two from two at Pearse Park last night with two late points from half-forward, Daire Plunkett, sealing the victory for the Russell Park men. Crumlin through the two Shanes, Martin and Ryan, foraged well but for the most part got little change out of a Brigid?s defence where corner back, Tim O Donnell excelled. After Crumlin midfielder, Darren Whelan, had cancelled out an early Cian Woodgate point, the visitors then put together a run of five unanswered points which comprised of scores from Paddy MacAvinue, Daire Plunkett, Cian O Mahony (2), and Brendan McEnerney.

And although Cathal McGrath fared well in midfield, the home side were over-reliant on the free taking of Whelan to keep them in touch. By half-time, Brigid's had opened a double scores lead with midfielder, Ciaran Kellett, pointing before the break to leave his side with a 0-10 to 0-5 advantage at the interval. However, with both Rodney Elliott and Stephen Cullen introduced after the break, Crumlin began to make headway with scores from play from Shane Martin, Whelan and Kevin Byrne seeing them cut the Brigids lead to three points seven minutes into the half. That was as close as the home side would get with the combined scoring of McEnerney and Plunkett closing the game out for Brigid's.

Scorers: St Brigids: P McAvinue 0-6 (4f), B McEnerney 0-4, D Plunkett 0-3, C O Mahony 0-2, C Kellett, C Woodgate 0-1 each. Crumlin: D Whelan 0-9 (8f), S Martin, K Byrne.
