Junior Hurlers boost League Survival Chances defeating Liffey Gaels Narrowly - Sun, 11 Jul 2010

Liffey Gaels 0-11 St Brigids 1-09

Our Junior Hurlers kept their AHL 5 survival hopes alive after a pulsating one point victory over Liffey Gaels on Tuesday evening. A Brendan Farrell goal midway through the first half proved to be the decisive score of the evening although four points each from centre-forward Brian Mulcahy and midfielder Eoin O Brien extended the Brigids lead.

Liffey Gaels pushed hard for a late equaliser but the returning Phil Kelly and the clubs newest father, Willa Corbett stood firm in defence to seal a hard-fought Brigids win.

St Brigids: Tim O Leary, Philly Daly, Cian O Sullivan, Mark Hanley, David Grogan, Willa Corbett, John Hanley, JP Costigan, Eoin O Brien (0-04), Stephen Moore, Brian Mulcahy (0-04), Eoin Tynne, Stephen Quigley, Noel Kidd (0-01), Brendan Farrell (1-0).

Subs: John Cussen for Brendan Farrell, Donal Donoghue for Stephen Quigley, Phil Kelly for Phil Daly, Barry O Donnell for Mark Hanley.
