Cahill, Duignan & O Mahony Brothers Complete Leinster Golf Title 3 in Row - Thu, 7 Aug 2008

Congrats to Martin Cahill, Sean Duignan, Domhnaill O'Mahony & Cian O'Mahony (in action above) who successfully defended St Brigids Leinster Golf Title for the third year in a row.

St Brigid's of Dublin made history last week when they became the first ever club to win three provincial titles in-a-row in the FBD All-Ireland GAA Golf Challenge. Organisers will soon be able to start allocating tee-off times for September's All-Ireland final as the Connacht representatives will be decided at Claremorris on Friday, completing the line-up for Faithlegg.

Led by former Dublin corner back Martin Cahill and former Dublin hurler Sean Duignan, St Brigid's held their resolve to ensure their place in the All-Ireland final. Duignan (15) teamed up with Cian O'Mahony (8) to bring home 41 points while Cahill and Domhnaill O'Mahony finished with 42.

Their combined total of 83 points meant St Brigid's completed the course at Royal Tara just one point off second placed St Rynagh's of Offaly, represented by Albert Kelly (9), Leslie O'Meara (10), K.P. Kelly (12) and David Wynne (13).
