Eoin Kennedy Show Class As He Qualifies for 60*30 All-Ireland Handball Final - Tue, 25 Aug 2009

Eoin Kennedy recorded an emphatic win over Cavan?s Michael Finnegan in the All-Ireland Senior Singles Semi-Final at Croke Park on Saturday. Kennedy, who is bidding for a sixth consecutive title this year, was in devastating form over the course of the two games and never allowed his Breffni County opponent to gain any momentum.

The Dubliner opened with intent and stormed into an 11-1 lead. Finnegan tried his full armory of shots but to no avail as Kennedy took the first 21-3, without having to push into top gear. While Finnegan battled early in the second game, the result was always ominous and Kennedy took a 21-4 victory to seal his place in the final and continue his bid for a sixth crown.

"I'm delighted to the back in the final; there?s always pressure with expectations but I?m there now so we'll see what happens in two weeks time," said Kennedy.
