Minor A & B Footballers Record Comprehensive Champo Wins over Crokes & St Finian's - Mon, 29 Sep 2008

Both Minor Football teams produced great wins in their respective Championship games. The Minor A Footballers travelled to Silver Pk to take on Championship favourites Kilmacud Crokes. Defence was definitely the key to this win as they never let Crokes settle for a minute. Leading 2-5 to 0-5 at the break, the lads kept the pressure on to win out 4-10 to 0-9. Collie Carr grabbing two of the goals. Thats two out of two for the lads. They still have to face Ballinteer St Johns in their final group game.

The Minor B Footballers turned around a half time deficit to four points to win by eight points against St Finians of Newcastle. Trailing 1-5 to 0-4 at the break, the lads never gave up and bagged four second half goals. This team has a never say die spirit as they came back from nine points down last week against Fingal Ravens to snatch a draw.
