Dublin & Leinster Winning Minor Footballers Celebrate Success in Style - Sun, 17 Feb 2008

The St Brigids Dublin & Leinster Minor 'A' Football Championship Winners celebrated their massive achievement in style last Thursday evening in Castleknock Hotel. The team were decked out in Black Tie and their Wags acommpanied them. Gerry McEntee even had red roses for all the girls. What a Gent!

The night proved to be massive success with all parents of the players enjoying the night greatly especially some of the speeches. Declan Darcy was on hand to present the Dublin & Leinster Championship Medals. Declan was a great help to the team this year with his experience on and off the field was a massive asset to the team.

The Mentors of the team were also presented with gifts for their massive effort through-out the year. Gerry McEntee and Liam Plunkett were with the team since they were Under 10. Rory Gallagher's was also thanked for his massive input in the lads training. It was great to have such lads as Declan & Rory on hand who have done to all before.

Mel McInerney, Mick Clerkin & Paddy Winter were also thanked for their massive effort throughout the year as well. A great team effort. A special mention must be given to Des White, Owner of Sierra Construction who sponsored the team's trip to Nemo Rangers last July which proved a real turning point in the season for the lads. It bonded them as a team & they had the belief after this trip.
