U8 Footballers Enjoy Great Start to Competitive Games Against Raheny - Thu, 19 Feb 2009

Great start to the season for the young Brigids players Finally after 3 years in the Nursery camp of St Brigids the boys and girls got their first chance to play a competitive game against Raheny. All the training in the cold and rain in January really paid off as 34 boys & girls lined out to play Raheny GAA Club fielding 4 teams.

Each team played one match against Raheny. Every player tried their best, one could not single out any individual from the Brigids squad as the team spirit was so strong. The scores on the board proved that lots of training was worth it, as our PLAYERS proudly won ALL four games. After the games were over the Reds celebrated their first win with drinks and goodies.

If your son or daughter was born in 2001 and would like to join St Brigids U8s, football training takes place at 6.15 on Fridays and Hurlings take place on Mondays at 6.15. For further information contact Declan McCarty on 0879175916
