Minor Footballers Lose Out to St Vincents in Champo Semi-Final - Tue, 27 Oct 2009

Hard luck to our Minor Footballers who lost out to St Vincents 2-11 to 1-6 at Russell Park. The sides were level at 1-4 apiece at the break with full-forward Shane Perry netting for Vinnies, who were playing against the breeze, and were indebted to centre-half back Michael Concarr in curbing the Brigid's forward line.

Several guilt edged missed goal chances in the first half were to prove dearly as the contest which remained nip and tuck after half-time but once Adam Baxter goaled on 45 minutes, St Vincent's pulled away from that point on and held out with further alarm for a comfortable eight point victory. It was a great achievement to reach the semi-final as this side resided in Div 3 at Under 16.
