Paul Winters Points The Way for Dublin North in Leinster Senior 'A' Colleges Champo - Wed, 19 Jan 2011

Well done to Paul Winters, Ronan McKenna & Daragh Doyle who were part of the Dublin North's Leinster Senior 'A' Colleges Championship victory over Westmeath Colleges. Paul chipped in with 7 points which is great for a player who is just a 1st year minor.

A Graham Williams goal eight minutes from time was crucial as Dublin North held off the challenge of a talented Westmeath Schools at the DCU Sportgrounds on Sunday. Westmeath led 0-8 to 0-4 at the break following six unanswered points from Kieran Glennon (three), Dylan O Regan, Dan Kelliher and David Fennell.

But the accuracy from placed ball of Paul Winters levelled it up but Westmeath regained the lead through John Boyle before Williams' superb winner and a brace of points from Winters saw Dublin snatch victory.

Scorers - Dublin North: P Winters 0-7 (0-6f), G Williams 1-0, C Kilkenny (1f), S Boland, C McHugh 0-1 each. Westmeath Colleges: K Glennon 0-4 (0-3f), R Greville 0-2f, D Kelliher (0-1f), D Fennell, J Boyle, D O Regan 0-1 each.
