St Brigids Under 10 Girls Camogie gave a convincing performance on Sunday 1st April when both teams won while clocking up the goals at their first league fixture away to Skerries Harps. Anyone seeing the large group now training on the fabulous all weather pitch will not be surprised with the result. While both clubs played some beautiful skills both on the ground and in the air the score line left no doubt that these young ladies from St Brigids like to win 8 to 1 and 10 to 0 at fulltime.

Two matches were played and on one pitch goals flew in as Eadaoin Lacey, Hannah Connolly and Ellen Maher fed their forwards Clodagh O'Regan, Laura Brown, Julia Murphy, Laura Page, Alex Griffin who scored with skill and determination to get the ball over the line. Meanwhile Cait Casey, Carolyn McCarthy and Caoimhe Murray ensured that the team conceded nothing. Eva McAnerin, Mikaela Griffin and Alex Holden played their part and created goal scoring opportunities when they subbed on. Final score 10 to 0.

The second pitch created another victory for the girls in red in a hard fought contest whose score line did not do justice to the Skerries team efforts and skills. For St Brigids Ciara Griffin, Aoife O'Reilly, Lauryn O'Reilly, Sophia Martin, Aoife Sullivan and Ellie Wilde all put away goals while Katie Nyhan, Niamh O'Neill, Aoife Sullivan and Ciara Griffin worked tireless in midfield creating opportunities for their forwards.

In defence Aishling Tully, Ciara Tully, Katie Donnelly and Anna Greville ensured that Harps only got one goal in. Final score 8 to1. All the girls played with skill and determination winning the ball by tackling and scoring by following up and attacking with the goal as their aim. They all did their red jerseys proud.
