U14 Camogie Team Finish League Campaign in Style - Tue, 25 Sep 2007

The under 14 camogie had a hard earned one point victory over Crumlin on Saturday to clinch joint top place in the Division 2 league.

Playing against a strong wind the girls trailed by 4 points mid-way through the second half. However, everybody dug deep and fought hard to get back into the game. They were duly rewarded with 2 brilliant goals scored by Shauna Hinkson to clinch a 2:1 to 1:3 victory over an excellent Crumlin team.

The team have had a long league season playing 18 matches and winning 16 of them to finish level with Lucan Sarsfield on 32 points. They will now play Lucan in a league final in a few weeks time.

Next up for the team will be a tough first round championship match against either Raheny or Crumlin. This match will take place in Russell Park at 10.30 on Saturday 29th September.
