Junior Camogie Continue Good Form beating Whitehall Colmcille in League - Fri, 13 Apr 2012

Our Junior A camogie team continued their winning start to the season away to Whitehall on Tuesday evening. Siobhán Phelan started in goals replacing the absent Aoife Powell. Throughout the match however, Phlean's goalkeeping skills were rarely tested as the Brigids girls worked extremely hard to keep the ball in the oppositions half. Great defending from the entire half back line, who won numerous opposition puck outs, kept the ball in the Whitehall half which played a massive part in the outcome of the game. Siobhan Cahill got the opening score and Brigids continued to build on this and led at half time by 3-04 to 0-02.

The second half continued with more scores from the strong Brigids forward line which saw the Russell Park ladies run out comfortable winners on a 6-7 to 0-5 scoreline.

St Brigids: Siobhán Phelan, Aoibheann Ni Shuilleabhain, Aoife O Murchu, Ellen Hayden, Shauna O sullivan, Siobhan Cahill (0-5), Ciara Deegan (0-2), Emma Devitt, Grace Dunne (2-0), Sinéad Daffy (3-0), Carolyn Elliott, Michelle Cummins, Lisa Ryan (1-0), Laura Winters, Helen Sweeney.
