Junior Camogie Team back on track with Top 4 play-off win over Setanta - Sat, 4 Aug 2012

Setanta 3-02 Naomh Brid 4-05

Last Tuesday evening saw Naomh Bríd take on Setanta in Poppintree Park in their second top 4 play-off match, with the girls aware that a win was crucial to their league ambitions. Siobhan Cahill opened the scoring with a 6th minute free. However, despite this early score it remained a low-scoring first half with the sides tied at 2 points apiece.

The second half was a livelier affair with Aine O Murchu getting a goal and a point in quick succession to steer Naomh Brid into an early led. The sides traded goals but it was the away side that finished stronger with Sinéad The Daffmeister Daffy adding a goal leaving the finishing scoreline 4-5 to 3-2 in favour of Brigids.

Next up is the final top 4 group game at home to Na Fianna on Tuesday evening 7th August. All support welcome.

Naomh Brid: Aoife Powell, Patrina Moran, Aoife O Murchú, Siobhan Phelan, Eimear Davey, Ellen Hayden, Siobhan Cahill, Emma O?Loan, Emma Devitt, Helen Sweeney, Laura Winters, Aine O Murchu, Grace Dunne, Michelle Cummins, Sinéad Daffy.
