Ladies Football County Representatives - 2004 Summary - Mon, 6 Dec 2004 Congratulations to Louise Keegan on winning an all-star award for 2004. She had an outstanding season with the Dublin. Also congratulations to Paula Bruen on winning a Dublin Camogie player of the year award. Paula worked very hard this year. She had a super season and all the hard work has paid off. At Under 12 level Caroline Brogan and Anita O'Brien were nominated to represent the club in the Leinster Blitz, held in Carlow at the June weekend. Both players were involved in the competitions where Dublin triumphed on the day. The Dublin Under 14 team is the flag-carrier for the County as they have the honour of being the first Dublin All Ireland Ladies Football Champions. Both Shona Barrett and Noelle Healy represented Saint Brigids on this historic team. The first of the finals resulted in a draw, the replay against Mayo brought the Championship to Dublin. The Dublin Under 16 team were unlucky to be defeated by Cork in the semi-final and narrowly missed a place in the All-Ireland Final. Four of our players were on the panel, Tara Carolan, Siobhan Devlin, Rachel Jones and Katie Murphy. Dublin Minors Aimee Molloy, Sorcha Furlong, Colleen Barrett all represented the club on the Dublin Minor panel this year and reached Leinster Semi-final. Dublin Junior Lyndsay Kilmurray and Jenny Weldon represented the club on the Dublin Junior team this year. Dublin Seniors Louise Keegan and Elaine Kelly played in the all-Ireland final, Galway the eventual winners. These two players together with Elaine Murphy and CarolAnn Griffin were on the Dublin panel all through the 2004 season. It was a great season. Well done girls. Special mention Caroline McGroary, a member of the Donegal team promoted to senior for coming season.
