Newly Formed Ladies Junior Team produce fine debut performance - Wed, 5 Apr 2006

Ballymun 3-06  St Brigid's 1-01

This year Brigid's ladies formed a second team who also started their campaign this week. They travelled to Ballymun on this occasion. Conditions were fairly mild and although they were beaten, it was their first match of the season and it proved to be a learning curve for the newly formed side.

With the likes of Katie Murphy and Shona Barrett leading in midfield and Ciara Lowry in full back, there was some excellent passages of play. It was almost 10 mins into the game before Brigid's settled and it was only in the 2nd half that they really found their feet with a goal and a point from Katie Murphy.  Shona Barrett was also denied a penalty saved by the kickhams keeper.
