St Brigid's Belles Line out for Dubs in Croker! - Thu, 6 Jul 2006

Last weekend 10 of the U13 Brigid's ladies football team lined out for Dublin against Wexford in the inter county mini 7's in Croke Park. Playing in front of a croud of more than 57,000 supporters, it will be a day that they will never forget. These girls are all from St Brigid's National School in Castleknock and are the current Cumann na mBunscoil senior champions. Along with the rest of the Brigid's U13 team managed by Tony Hegarty and Michael Grogan, they won Division 1 this year and are through to the Semi final of the championship which will take place in September. A team to watch out for in the future! Well done to all.

The team: Marie Hegarty, Aisling King, Melissa Martin, Deirdre Murphy, Meghan Grogan, Niamh Ryan, Shauna Hinkson, Olivia Smartt, Rose Donnelly, Sinead Horan.
