3 St Brigid's Belles are selected for the Dublin U12 Ladies Squad - Tue, 11 Jul 2006

This year, three of the Brigid's U12 ladies were chosen to be part of the U12 Dublin ladies football development squad. A panel of 25 players were picked from all over Dublin which included Brigid's Deirdre Murphy and Sinead O'Farrelly. They met every 2nd Saturday throughout the year and received special coaching to improve their skills.

The Dublin squad took part in a blitz held in Carlow last weekend where development squads for all the counties in Leinster came to put their talent to use. Unfortunately Dublin didn't win the blitz but they did beat Kildare in their group who went on to win the blitz! Another member of the Brigid's U12 team Aideen Brennan also joined the squad recently. So well done Deirdre, Sinead and Aideen.
