Barrett, Healy & Farrell Help Dublin U16 Ladies Footballers progress to All-Ireland Final - Wed, 23 Aug 2006

 Dublin U16s in All-Ireland Semi-Final

Congrats to Shona Barrett, Noelle Healy, Enya Farrell & the Dublin U16 Ladies Footballers on reaching the All-Ireland Final where they will face Cork on September 16th.

Last Sunday saw the Under 16 team claim a hard fought victory over Monaghan in Ardee, Co Louth to progress to an All Ireland Final clash with Cork on Saturday 16th September.

A tricky breeze disrupted the play of both sides but in the end the young Dubs ground out a deserved success on a scoreline of 2-9 to 4-2. Dublin faced the breeze in the first half and trailed 0-3 to 1-2 at the interval. Both sides enjoyed periods of dominance in the second half before Deborah Geraghty scored the winning point in the last minute to send the Dubs into the All Ireland Final.
