Barrett, McKenna, Healy & Murphy Propel Dublin Minor's to All-Ireland Final - Mon, 9 Jul 2007

4 St Brigids Players in All-Ireland Minor Final

Congrats to Shona Barrett, Ailish McKenna, Noelle Healy, Katie Murphy & the Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers who defeated Tyrone to reach the All-Ireland Final.

Dublin 5-15 Tyrone 1-7

Dublin qualified for the All-Ireland minor final when they defeated Ulster champions, Tyrone, in the semi-final played in Mullahoran, Co Cavan, on Sunday July 8th. Dublin started well, and registered 2-7 within 15 minutes, with goals from Noelle Healy and Lyndsey Davey, and the half-time scoreline was 3-7 to 0-2.

Tyrone increased the pressure in the second half, with a goal from Aisling O?Kane, and forced 2 excellent saves from Dublin keeper, Hannah Tyrell. But another brace of goals, from Sinead Cullen & Deborah Geraghty, ensured the Dublin players of their place in the minor final against old rivals, Cork, on the weekend of July 14th/15th.
