Noelle Healy Stars As Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers Reach All-Ireland Final - Thu, 24 Jul 2008

Congrats to Shona Barrett who captained the Dublin Ladies Minor Footballers to their All-Ireland Semi-Final win over Mayo. Noelle Healy who scored 2-4 was rewarded for an outstanding performance with the player of the match award. Enya Farrell also represented the club on this team. Congratulations to the girls from all at St. Brigids and best of luck in the All-Ireland Final.

Dublin 3-23 Mayo 2-07

Dublin qualified for the All-Ireland Minor A final when they defeated Mayo in the semi-final in Pairc Chiaran on Saturday July 19th. Dublin made good the advantage of the stiff breeze, outscoring Mayo by 14 to points to 1, before Deirdre Doherty goaled for Mayo. Dublin then immediately broke down the field, and Noelle Healy scored the first of her two goals. They added a further 5 points, to leave the half-time score at 1-19 to 1-1. Mayo brought the game to Dublin early in the second half, and added 3 points to their tally, before Natalia Hyland, and Healy goaled again, leaving the final score 3-23 to 2-7. Dublin now face the winners of Tyrone in the All-Ireland final in Breffni Park, Cavan, on Monday August 4th.
