Summer Mini Leagues Start on June 9th - Time to Get Registered! - Mon, 19 May 2008
ST BRIGID'S MINI-LEAGUE FESTIVAL 2008 Yes its that time of the year again when all of the boys and girls from Blandardstown and Castleknock get together for a fun week of Gaelic football in Russell Park. We invite members and non members from the age of 12 down to 4 to come along and enjoy the games. Watching the younger boys and girls is amazing, some of the players get so over taking by all the Mam?s and Dad?s watching and cheering that they totally forget the game and just enjoy the fun and that is what this league is all about. The teams are group by the age of the child, each team will play four matches over two nights between Monday and Thursday. The finals take place at the St Brigid?s family day on Saturday 14 June where all the players will be presented with a medal. Last year over 360 children played, the teams are mixed and the whole emphasis is on ALL the children participating and everyone gets to play. We encourage all the players to have fun. Each player gets a prize. Plays offs from Monday 9 June through to Thursday 12 June from 6.30pm till 8.30pm each night and Finals take place at the Brigids Family Day on Saturday 14 June. Each team will play on two nights during the week and all will qualify for a final match on the Saturday.
