Junior Camogie Girls through to Championship Final after win over Mearnog

Junior Camogie Championship Semi Final - St Brigids 2-03 Naomh Mearnog 1-02

Our Junior Camogie team had to battle hard at the weekend to secure their place in the Championship Final as they battled past Naomh Mearnog in the semi-final thanks to two first half goals from Michelle Cummins.

There were great performances in the half back line, and thanks to some great saves by Aoife Powell, Mearnogs only managed three scores, with one coming from a well struck 45. Siobhan Cahill was reliable as ever in midfield, scoring two points from frees.

The girls face Na Fianna in the final this coming Saturday in Trinity Gaels. Time TBC.
