Naomh Bríd Win Big at Awards Night

Naomh Bríd took home the Club of the Year award at the Dublin Camogie Awards last Friday, 23 November in Westmanstown. The two adult Camogie teams were also presented with their championship trophies at the awards, with captains Lorraine O Connell (Senior 2) and Ciara Deegan (Senior 6) collecting the trophies and medals on behalf of the two teams. But the awards didn't stop there! Katie Murphy was presented with the Senior 2 Dublin Player of the Year and Siobhan Cahill won Player of the Match for her fantastic performance in the Senior 6 Championship Final.

Niamh Adams also received a medal for winning the All-Ireland League as part of the Dublin Junior Camogie team, while Sophie Lyons received medals for the Leinster and All-Ireland Championships as part of the Dublin U16 Camogie team.

Phylis Breslin was inducted into the Dublin Camogie Hall of Fame for her contribution to Camogie. Phylis played Camogie with Naomh Bríd and was President of the Camogie Association in 1997.

Congratulations to all the girls, Aodh Ó Múrchú (Manager of Senior 2 and Senior 6 teams) and everyone involved with the Camogie section.
