Achievements of U16 Camogie Team from 2012 Season Celebrated 2013-01-09 16:34:00

Congratulations to all the players of the U16 camogie team, pictured above in November. On Sunday last in St Peregrines, our U16 girls collected their silverware for both their wins in League and championship Division 2. Also on the day Sophie Lyons was announced U16 Div 2 Dublin camogie player of the year. Katie Nyhan was presented with her Dublin Leinster winners medal by our proud Patsy Powell Dublin Minor Board chair. It was a great day of achievements of which our club is very proud of and we wish them continued success going into our adult divisions! Best of luck to all in 2013!

Hurlogie - December 2012 Report

The U16s Hurlogie event took place in the Club on a very mild dry Saturday evening under lights on the all weather pitch. U16 Hurlers and U16 Camogie players took to the pitch together to demonstrate their skills and sporting prowess. Tommie O Malley and Eugene O Neill selected the mixed teams and the event was a great success. The Club should be very proud of the quality of these very pleasant good humoured and well mannered members.  The ladies were very impressed with the skills of the lads and the boys were more than matched by the girls in close quarter tackling. It was back to the club house which looked absolutely fabulous in its festive makeover. A table quiz organised by Tommie got the players minds focused and after four rounds of mental battle two tables were tied.

Eugene O Neill was presented with a copy of the Christmas Calendar for all his work this year. The Calendar is packed with team pictures and the Boys & Girls were delighted to see their teams featured. All were winners on the evening and were treated to Four Star Pizza and minerals.  Many thanks to Four Star Pizza Roselawn for their very generous support, Tommie O Malley and Eugene O Neill for looking after the teams and the quiz and also our thanks to Billy and the Club for being so helpful in providing the clubhouse and the staff to open up. Again the Club House looked fantastic well done to all involved.
