Ballinteer 3-0 St Brigids 1-13

Our Senior Camogie team maintained their unbeaten start to the season winning away to Ballinteer St Johns on a scoreline of 1-13 to 3-0 on Tuesday night. The girls started slowly and conceded a goal within the first few minutes. However, as the first half progressed they gradually got on top and scored 5 unanswered points giving them a half-time lead of 0-5 to 1-0.

Brigids started the second half as they finished the first half by scoring a further 3 points before conceding a second goal which brought Ballinteer right back into the game. The team was unfazed by this set-back and continued to push forward and picked off a further 4 points before a goal from Aisling Kirwan sealed the win. Unfortunately, the match ended as it had begun with the concession of a consolation goal for Ballinteer. Overall, it was a great performance by all 20 players with the scoring spread out amongst 7 different players. Katie Murphy led by example from midfield, Grainne Quinn dominated at centre back, Elaine Duncan had a fine game at wing forward while Sophie Lyons made a great competitive senior debut when introduced in the second half.
