Goals galore for U16 Hurlers in win over neighbours Castleknock! 2015-04-22 09:43:00

U16 Hurling League Division 2.

Brigids          7: 21
Castleknock  1: 09

The Brigids U16 hurlers recorded another win in this U16 league V their old rivals and neighbours, Castheknock on Tuesday evening in the league. The game was played on the all weather in great hurling conditions. Brigids started without Aaron Dolly and Jed Higgins as they had slight injuries. The old saying of 'goals win games' was very evident in this performance. John Meagher set the tone with a goal in the first two minutes. Mattie McDonnell and Michael Fraine followed with another 2. There was great work and good distribution from Conall Burke and Darragh Wade making sure there were plenty of chances for the Brigids forwards. David Hawkshaw drove things on from centre half back with some great fielding and passing. More goals followed with Darragh Wade, John Meagher and Michael Fraine (2) adding to the tally. Tomas Leen came on and rounded off the scoring with a great point from the right wing. Next up The Barrs in Cabra next Tuesday, 19:00.
