Our 2016 girls group had an adventurous day in Killruddery doing the Hell and Back Challenge on Saturday 6th of September.
We had sixty children on the day who came with bundles of enthusiasm to complete Ireland’s toughest physical challenge and what a joy is was to watch them face it with such resilience and without any adult help.
They had to swim in a very cold lake, crawl under nets, climb over obstacles, haul themselves over muddy steep walls. They as always showed their great team spirit, helping each other over obstacles, shouting encouragement and never leaving anyone behind .
What a day to remember for them. They crossed the finish line, soaking wet and covered in mud, still smiling and laughing but buzzing with pride.
This was an amazing team bonding session which strengthened friendships. The girls are already asking when they can go again.
Well done girls you made everyone so proud.
