It’s been another historic week for St. Brigid’s GAA Club as we proudly celebrate two exceptional members, Phyllis Breslin and Cian O’Sullivan, honoured by Dublin Friends of Hurling and Camogie.
On Friday evening, Phyllis made history as the first camogie figure to receive the prestigious Lar Foley Hall of Fame Award — a fitting tribute to a lifetime of extraordinary service. From her early days with Eoghan Ruadh and later Naomh Bríd, to All-Ireland club and county successes, to refereeing at the highest level, and leading the Camogie Association as President, Phyllis has shaped the game with integrity, passion and unwavering commitment. Her influence continues at provincial and national level as well as here in St. Brigid's club where she is hugely appreciated as a supporter, mentor, and role model for our new generation of camogie players.
Adding to the celebrations, Cian O’Sullivan was named Dublin Hurler of the Year 2025 — a remarkable acknowledgement to sit alongside his recent All-Star award. Cian’s achievements reflect his talent, humility and the pride he brings to our club.
This is a moment of immense pride for St. Brigid’s. We congratulate Phyllis and Cian on their well-deserved honours and thank them for inspiring our entire community.
