Dermot Earley Foróige Youth Leadership Initiative (DEYLI) for 2026/27

Comhghairdeas!- Huge congratulations to our first group of TY students (2025–2026) who have successfully completed the Foróige Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative (DEYLI)

This programme was piloted in our club this year, and we’re delighted to share that it will be running again next year following its success. A sincere thank you to all the parents and volunteers who give their time and support to make the DEYLI possible for a second year — it is truly appreciated.

An added achievement for this group is that they are now eligible to embark on Ollscoil na

Gaillimhe/ University of Galway Community and Youth Leadership Level 6 qualification — a fantastic opportunity to further develop their skills and leadership journey.

For more information, see: DEYLI Leaflet and DEYLI
We would like to invite current 3rd year members of the club and their parents/guardians to attend an Information Evening, where families can learn more about the DEYLI for TY 2026–2027, what’s involved, and the benefits for participants.

📅 Date: Tuesday 19th May
📍 Venue: St. Brigid’s Clubhouse, 8.15pm

Prospective participants need to be aware of the commitment involved. We are looking for students who are engaged, interested in becoming good leaders and willing to develop leadership skills such as presenting in front of groups. 80% attendance is required by Foróige.

The programme is highly interactive with ‘games’ to aid learning and identify & support each participant’s leadership style. Participants need to be enthusiastic to use skills learned, get involved in their community and improve society.

If your son or daughter is interested in learning about the programme, please register your interest here, so that we can ensure enough seats:
