The evenings may be getting darker - but not in Russell Park! 💡
Our most recent capital expenditure project, the new installation of LED floodlighting on the Juvenile pitch has been commissioned and powered on. This was delivered by our contractor Al Read Electrical, on time and on budget.
The new LED floodlight installation will allow more teams to train over the winter months (pitch playability permitting) and complements the all weather and mini astro’s floodlight facilities.
A huge amount of work has been completed in Russell Park over the last couple of years, including:
- Replacement of all weather pitch and LED lighting upgrade
- Construction of new mini all weather pitch
- Refurbishment of club bar
- Resurfacing and extension of club car park
- Refurbishement of outdoor handball alley
- Club amenities such as bike shelters and repair station, ball pumps, boot brushes and water station.
All this work does not happen on its own, so a huge thank you goes out to all our Facilities Committee and for the Juvenile Pitch Floodlighting project a special mention to Ronan Webster and Eoghan Leahy for their work in getting this completed.
The tireless and selfless work by all involved behind the scenes provides excellent, top class facilities for our members today and as they develop for the future.
