A huge congratulations to our first-ever Transition Year Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative participants!
We are incredibly proud of this fantastic group of Transition Year students who have successfully completed the Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative (DEYLI) – Module 1.
They were officially awarded their Foróige Module 1 certificates by Denis Courtney, St. Brigid’s GAA Chairperson, marking a major milestone in their leadership journey. This achievement reflects their commitment, enthusiasm, and willingness to step forward as young leaders in their communities.
Well done to each and every one of you — this is just the beginning!
The demand for the DEYLI has been incredible — we were oversubscribed, and there’s already strong interest for next year (Sep 2026).
To make the programme sustainable and to give more young people the chance to take part, we’re looking for parent volunteers to help facilitate the initiative for the 2026 group. Sessions take place weekly in the club house from approx Oct-March 2026.
Full training is provided online by Foroige, and the next available facilitator training sessions take place in February. Wednesday 4th February, Monday 9th February and Wednesday 11th of February- 6.30pm-9.30pm [Zoom]
If you have an interest in youth development, leadership, or simply want to support the club in a meaningful way, please consider getting involved. Your contribution would make a huge difference.
