That’s a Wrap – Mini Leagues 2025

Saturday, 28th June saw the finale of St. Brigid’s Mini Leagues 2025 where a showcase of football, camogie and hurling took place across the day in Russell Park with our Family Fun Day as we celebrated 50 years of our festival of games.

Months of planning in the background from St. Brigid’s Mini Leagues Committee, team coaches and club volunteers culminated in the coordination of teams, fixtures and pitches for over 700 girls & boys, 150 team mentors for 345 games across both codes which were taken charge of by 35 referees!

Aside from our Football, Camogie and Hurling games, the day saw kids enjoying scoring goals, shooting hoops and some target practice on our dart board with the inflatable games and face painting.

We also had a little surprise with Manna Air Delivery dropping off our sliothars for each age group’s games before the piper led the teams out in their parade.

The obligatory ice cream van was busy all day long as was our fruit table, sweet shop, lotto team, club shop and our BBQ crew who served up over 1,500 burgers & sausages to players and supporters over the two weeks.

Medals were presented to all participants throughout the day by Jack Chambers TD, Emer Currie TD and Cllr. Eimear Carbone-Mangan alongside our own Chairperson Denis Courtney.

Thank you to all our organisers, booklet sponsors, volunteers (coaching and non-coaching) and everyone who contributed to making our Mini Leagues 2025 the biggest and best yet, making lifelong memories for the future stars of St. Brigid’s.

Finally, thank you to our event sponsor Brady’s for your continued support.

We’re looking forward to Mini Leagues 2026 already!
