*Youth Athletic Development Course @ St. Brigid’s*
St. Brigid’s continues to be committed to supporting coaches in their development.
Starting from today the club is inviting coaches involved with F3 Youth (U13-Minor) groups in the club to nominate a *minimum of two coaches* to participate in the Youth Athletic Development Course.
This is a blended course that involves 8 online modules and one half day practical (in August/September).
The cost of the course is €50 per person which the club will refund in full *upon completion of the practical component*.
The course is now set-up on Tobar (E-Learning Platform) at this link:

Anyone interested may enrol from today and begin with the online modules - all in your own time and at your own pace.
Again, the target is minimum of 2 people from each age group and code participate i.e.
U13 Boys x 2 coaches, U13 Girls x 2 coaches
U14 Boys x 2 coaches, U14 Girls x 2 coaches
U15 Boys x 2 coaches, U15 Girls x 2 coaches
U16 Boys x 2 coaches, U16 Girls x 2 coaches
Minor Boys x 2 coaches, Minor Girls x 2 coaches
1️⃣ Online E-Learning modules:
There are 8 modules and approx. 15-30 mins to complete each module:
1. Introduction to Youth Athletic Development in Gaelic Games
2. Planning
3. Warm-Ups
4. Force Development
5. GameSpeed
6. Endurance Development
7. Growth & Maturation Considerations
8. Health Benefits
The above 8 online modules *must be completed before attending a face to face practical*.
2️⃣ Practical: TBC in September 2025
Time: 9.30-4.00pm
Venue: St Brigid’s GAA Club
The practical workshop is 6 Hours in duration. It consists of a mixture of practical and theoretical sessions with the aim to ensure the participants understand the approach of Athletic Development and the content.
Finally, we would greatly appreciate your time if you could fill in this short survey to learn about your coaching background, current understanding, and initial expectations.
