The Club is delighted, as part of the GAA Healthy Clubs initiative, to be participating again in the Irish Life Every Step Counts Challenge which starts on Monday 8th January and runs until 12th February next.
A lot of people are already signed up but we need more to sign up and record their KMs to have a chance to compete as well as we did over the past number of years. So we are calling on all club members and the communities of Blanchardstown and Castleknock to sign up. Be sure to sign up to St. Brigid’s GAA Dublin as there are a number of other St. Brigid’s clubs in Leinster registered. By registering for St. Brigid’s GAA Dublin all of the steps will be properly accumulated under one account as every step counts!
Signing up is really simple – just follow these easy steps:
Download the Irish Life MyLife app either from the Google Play Store (Android Phones) or the Apple App Store (iphones)
Register or log in (if you have an account already)
Select your challenge (SocialChallengesLeinsterSt. Brigid’s GAA Dublin)
Track your walks or runs from 8th January until 12th February next.
Connecting your phone’s step counter/activity tracker is really important or we won’t get the benefit of all your walking! In the MyLife App, go to ‘Track’ then ‘Trackers’ then select your device (e.g. Fitbit, Apple Watch, SmartWatch, etc.). The easiest way being to simply add your phone’s health app. If you don’t do this, we won’t get your steps! Check out https://mylife.irishlife.ie/faq/tracking for more information if you have any issues with tracking.
Be sure to connect to the correct account – St. Brigid’s GAA Dublin
The challenge lasts for just over a month and it’s a great excuse to get yourself and the family out for some exercise and much needed fresh air. Stay safe and tag us in photos whilst taking part in the challenge in the St. Brigid’s colours.
Remember – Every Step Counts!
