Dear members.

We are trying to promote practice out of hours by leaving both the main and mini Astro unlocked.

Unfortunately over the past while this is attracting non members to the Club and particularly to the mini Astro.

From today we are putting a lock on the mini Astro. The same key that opens the goal guards will open the lock (same lock).

Can all mentors and members please help police the Astro over the next while. Bikes and non members are not welcome to use a facility we built at a cost of €1 million to our Club and members.

We want to continue to promote practice outside of training but if we can’t stop non permitted use we will be forced to put a lock on it also.

Wearing boots on either of the Astro pitches is not optional. This rule was brought in on advices of Sports Lab who tested the pitch when it was laid. Longevity of the surface depends on this rule. If we don’t protect the surfaces they won’t last.

We can all agree that our astro playing surfaces are as good as anything that’s in the Country. We need to work together to protect them. 💪🏼
